COLLEGE SEMINAR

Playing soccer in college….as a service to the East Texas soccer community, the Elite 86 team and The Sport Source invite you to join us for a FREE College Planning Seminar to show students and parents how to prepare for the college selection process.  This seminar will be conducted by college financial aid officials, college admission representatives and The Sport Source publishing company. 

When:  Tuesday, December 3, 2002

Time:  7:00-8:30 pm

Where:  LeTourneau University, Old Science Building (Campus Map, Bldg. #16)

Who should attend:  High school students and their parents.  The process begins in the freshman year, so grades 9-12 should attend.

Topics will include:

·        Admissions

·        Financial Aid, including athletic scholarships

·        NCAA and NAIA eligibility

·        What a college coach looks for in a player

·        Sizing up your strengths and how to get noticed by college coaches

·        The parents role and responsibility

·        How to construct a resume and cover letter
